Business continuity monitoring that stands up to audit
Most business continuity plans are written, approved, filed — and then go stale. The plan names activation conditions, but nobody is checking them daily, and when a crisis builds gradually there is no defensible moment at which anyone can say the plan was formally activated.
CHARIS closes that gap. It monitors the activation triggers in your continuity plan, every day, against cited evidence — and tells you in plain terms whether each one is breached or not.
The problem: plans without a monitoring loop
A continuity plan that relies on someone noticing the trigger conditions is a plan that activates late. Inbox-scanning across advisories, airspace notices and border updates does not scale past one or two countries, and it leaves no evidence trail showing when a condition was first met.
When the disruption ends, the same gap appears in reverse: there is rarely a documented basis for deciding that conditions have recovered enough to resume operations.
How CHARIS answers it
You select the Middle East countries you operate in and the triggers that match your plan — drawn from 21 crisis-onset (LEAVE) trigger categories and 15 re-entry (ENTER) categories. Each trigger has a defined activation threshold and is assessed on a strict binary basis: BREACHED or NOT BREACHED, with citations, no partial statuses.
Assessments run automatically at 06:00 GST daily. Per-country results roll up into a LEAVE risk classification (STABLE, ELEVATED, HIGH, EXTREME) and an ENTER readiness classification (NOT READY, WATCH, READY, GO), each mapped to a plain-language recommendation.
Every assessment records which triggers were evaluated, what evidence was considered and why each trigger did or did not breach — an evidence trail you can put in front of your board, your insurer or your auditor.
Honest limits
CHARIS is an input to your continuity process, not a replacement for it. Assessments are indicative and should be verified against live operational conditions before you act.
