ISO 22301 monitoring: make clause 8 something you can show
ISO 22301:2019 asks for more than a documented plan. Clause 8.2 expects a business impact analysis with defined disruption conditions; clause 8.4 expects continuity strategies with clear activation criteria. What auditors most often find missing is the operational loop — evidence that those criteria are actually being monitored and that activation decisions trace back to them.

How the alignment works in practice
Every trigger in CHARIS represents a disruption condition with a defined activation threshold — the structure clause 8.2 asks you to establish. Trigger status is strictly binary, BREACHED or NOT BREACHED, because a breach maps to a formal activation decision under your clause 8.4 strategies; situational concern is carried in narrative commentary, never in trigger status.
Daily assessments produce a dated, citable record per country: which triggers were active, what evidence was evaluated, which thresholds were met, and the resulting LEAVE and ENTER classifications. PDF reports package that record for management review and audit evidence.
